Spottsroide Development Setup
Environment:
The following was done on Ubuntu 64 bit 14.04.3
- Install ubuntu:
- Processors and memory: 6 processors, 3000 MB memory
- 2 hard disks: Both 100GB
- Follow instructions to setup Android environment on Ubuntu:
Compiling/Building:
- Clone the Spottsroide repo
- git clone ssh://git@stash.devlan.net:7999/spot/spottsroide-3.0.git
- Acquire dependencies:
- apt-get install: bison build-essential curl flex git gnupg gperf libesd0-dev liblz4-tool libncurses5-dev libsdl1.2-dev libwxgtk2.8-dev libxml2 libxml2-utilslzop openjdk-6-jdk openjdk-6-jre pngcrush schedtool squashfs-tools xsltproc zip zlib1g-dev gcc-arm-linux-androideabi
- apt-get install: bison build-essential curl flex git gnupg gperf libesd0-dev liblz4-tool libncurses5-dev libsdl1.2-dev libwxgtk2.8-dev libxml2 libxml2-utils
- Compile:
- cd ics_mon_dirty
- source build/envsetup.sh
- brunch galaxys2 (If you experience any errors, refer to the README.txt)
- The output is a cyanogenmod zip file.
- Build:
- Obtain a Galaxy S2 (GT-i9100) and connect to computer via USB
- Install the .zip file onto the SD card of the phone using adb
- Put the phone into Download mode
- hold volume down, home, and power button
- Flash clockwork mod recovery onto device
- cd delivery
- sudo ./flash_recovery.sh
- Disconnect the phone and remove the battery
- Install the battery in the phone
- Put the phone into Recovery mode
- hold volume up, home, and power button
- Once in recovery:
- wipe data/factory reset
- delete all user data
- mount sd card
