Create a Solaris Boot Server for a Subnetwork
In order to Use the Solaris Automated Install Server you will need a Boot Server that resides in your subnetwork.
Step-by-step guide
mkdir /tftpboot
ln -s /tftpboot/. /tftpboot/tftpboot

Enable tftp by uncommenting the following line in
/etc/inetd.conf
:tftp dgram udp6 wait root /usr/sbin/in.tftpd in.tftpd -s /tftpboot /usr/sbin/inetconv
svcadm enable network/rarp
touch /etc/bootparams
svcadm enable network/rpc/bootparams
mount <Use the Solaris Automated Install Server >:/export/boot /mnt
mkdir -p /export/boot
rsync -av /mnt/ /export/boot
